This is the story of the 20th century’s most iconic Danish artist couple: the pioneering sculptor Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen and the world-renowned composer Carl Nielsen. Through a dramatic reading of their private letters—uncovered and brought to life by celebrated actress Lotte Andersen—the performance reveals a raw, modern struggle with love, infidelity, and the fierce fight for artistic equality.

The narrative is woven together with Carl Nielsen’s masterpieces, performed by the acclaimed ensemble LiveStrings and pianist Nicolai Kornerup. Expect the beloved classics reimagined through fresh arrangements, infused with the warmth of Nordic and Eastern European folk traditions.
